In MaiChai, the humble tea is elevated with concoctions such as Chai Lattes and Jasmin Pearls Green Teas. Indeed, the tea shop is a great alternative to coffee shops if you’re avoiding too much caffeine. With teas that promise antioxidant properties and other health benefits, what’s there not to love?

Convincing the London Crowd
Introducing this reinvention of the tea to the English, who already had their own near-sacred tea traditions, may be a tough sell to older folks. But fortunately, MaiChai is tapping into the hip, young London crowd who already drink their coffee with all sorts of accouterments besides the usual cream and sugar.
We were excited to work with MaiChai and brainstorm creative asset ideas. Creative assets are images, animations, videos, and other media files that communicate your company’s identity. In the case of MaiChai, we used food photography and videos to document how they brew and create their tea concoction. With muted filters, the images and videos came out beautifully and on-trend. Next, we focused on the Londoners who would be drinking MaChai tea lattes. Using street photography, we captured relatable images of random Londoners holding the MaiChai cup. The images captured the urban street vibes of the city and how MaiChai fits into that lifestyle. The company was able to use the creative assets we made on their different marketing channels, especially social media. The response from the campaign was very encouraging and MaiChai’s bottom line reflected that.
