How Olsam Group Improved Optimizing their Data from 3PL to NetSuite

Managing data from multiple points is a common problem for eCommerce businesses with wide-scale operations. 3PLs serve as an integration of data across Purchase Orders, Sales Orders, Transfer Orders, Item Fulfillment, Returns & Inventory Records, Stock Adjustments, and more. NetSuite then assists in establishing data integration, manages EDI & API data flow, and processes as many orders as possible without any error. With this, companies can grow and scale their business by automating most processes and saving more time in managing operations.

How We Solved Their Problem

We focused and started on assisting Olsam Group during Phase 2 of data migration and integration. Phase 2 involves the optimization of data through data mapping and testing. The company has three different 3PLs that help in business operations. 

3PL connections help reflect data on both ends which includes managing item fulfillments, item receipts, inventory status, return item receipts, items, sales orders, purchase orders, transfer orders, and return authorizations. We created custom reports to validate mapping connections and assist in further brand integration. 

After data mapping, the team is tasked to use and create test cases and scenarios that will help validate the connection. This process will help identify if all of the data from the 3PL are mapped out correctly to NetSuite. We can identify key validation points through these test cases and create customization dashboards to generate real-time and industry-specific key performance indicators.
